Rio Zouk Fusion is a Brazilian/Latin/ Urban/ Contemporary fusion dance company specializing in Brazilian Zouk. We are based in London, UK and we have taught and performed around the world including in New York, Brazil, Cyprus, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and many more.
Brazilian Zouk is a beautiful, graceful, sensual and passionate partner dance from Brazil and it is making a big impact on the London dance scene and around the world. The dance style first appeared in Rio de Janeiro but is now danced, taught and performed world wide. The fast growing popularity of Brazilian Zouk is because you can dance it to many different types of music. It is currently danced to French Caribbean Zouk, Latin, RnB music and pop music. Whether you want to get fit, meet people, impress your friends, widen your dance vocabulary or try something new, Rio Zouk Fusion is here to make this happen!!
All RZF classes are taught by Rio Zouk Fusion teachers who are highly trained in Brazilian Zouk as well as their own individual styles which include a range of dances such as ballet, contemporary, Brazilian samba and salsa. We have classes every Tuesday at a Caribbean club and restaurant called Cottons in Angel, Islington. Also at the world famous dance studios Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden every Thursday and Friday. We offer top quality teaching in a friendly and welcoming environment with lots of personal attention and we are very proud of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of our classes. We welcome everyone from professional dancers to absolute beginners and anywhere in-between!
We believe that dancing is for everyone to enjoy regardless of age, career, nationality, ability or experience! Our students come from a great range of ages and backgrounds; office workers, university students, teachers, bankers, nurses, doctors, accountants, singles and couples!
Dancing is also an excellent way to meet new people and has been proven to contribute to a positive outlook and a greater sense of well-being. You will feel more confident, happier and it will enrich all aspects of your life. Or some people want to add some romance to their relationship and come along with their partner! Doing a dance class together is a great way to spend some fun, quality time together.
Additionally, dancing will improve your strength and flexibility, which helps to keep muscles, bones and joints healthy and improves posture and balance. It keeps both the body and mind active and whilst you're burning calories you're also releasing endorphins which reduce stress and tension and make you feel great!
